Tynemouth Pool is a North Tyneside Council leisure facility on Preston Road North in North Shields, offering swimming and aquatics for all ages. Its water facilities include a 25-metre main pool, an eight-metre boom pool, a teaching pool and diving boards, alongside a Contours gym, exercise class studios running Les Mills and virtual classes, and an onsite health suite. The centre is accessible, with disabled parking, low-level entrance access, a hearing loop at reception and a poolside hoist.

Swimming lessons follow the Swim England Learn to Swim programme, with group lessons for both juniors and adults, one-to-one tuition, and parent-and-toddler sessions; the shallow, warm-water teaching pool is well suited to nervous beginners and very young children. Beyond structured lessons, the pool offers a wide programme of activities including lane swimming, aqua fitness classes, ladies-only sessions, inflatable fun and pool parties, making it a versatile community facility for swimmers of every level.
