Tynemouth Cricket Club has run its fireworks display at the Preston Avenue ground for years, and it is the closest organised display for both Tynemouth and North Shields. Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks start from 7pm, with food, a bar and the clubhouse open through the evening.\n\nThe ground sits between the two towns and is walkable from either Tynemouth or North Shields Metro, which makes it a straightforward night out without the car.\n\nTickets are sold in advance through TicketSource, with early-bird pricing released in the autumn and a discounted group rate. Note that the club's booking links change every year, so make sure you are on the 2026 listing before you pay.
