About The Tynemouth Castle Inn
The Tynemouth Castle Inn sits in a commanding position on Grand Parade, overlooking the sweep of Longsands Beach, and is run by the Inn Collection Group as a combined pub, restaurant and hotel. Described as a Tyneside icon of more than 80 years' standing, it pairs a grand, cosy interior with an outdoor terrace that makes the most of the wide North Sea views. It is a firm fixture of the Tynemouth seafront, welcoming coastal walkers, families and visitors staying on the coast.
The inn operates as an all-day pub serving pub food and well-kept drinks, with 72 en-suite bedrooms ranging from standard doubles and twins to premium sea-view rooms overlooking the beach. On-site it also hosts Oswins, a fish-and-chip takeaway, and Cones Ice Cream Parlour serving ice cream and hot drinks. Dogs are welcome for a nightly charge of up to two per room, making it a relaxed, dog-friendly base for exploring the coast.
