Best for: Tynemouth is a compact village — all of the accommodation below is within walking distance of the beach, Front Street, and the Metro station.
The Grand Hotel
The Grand Hotel occupies a commanding position on Grand Parade, directly overlooking Longsands Beach. Originally built in the Victorian era, it has been extensively refurbished and offers 57 rooms ranging from standard doubles to superior sea-view suites.

The location is excellent — directly opposite the beach with the village centre a short walk away. It offers a slightly more informal atmosphere than the Grand Hotel, with a focus on relaxed coastal hospitality.

Tynemouth 61
