About This Event
English Heritage opens Tynemouth Priory and Castle for a community Christmas day on the headland. The programme includes performances from the Monkhouse Primary School choir, the Can't Sing and Linkskill choirs, Blyth Samba Band and a Highland piper, with Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade on hand to talk about water safety. Food traders including Pasta Club, Greekster and Fire & Dough will be serving through the day, and there is face painting for children (charged separately). Entry is free for English Heritage members and for residents with an NE25 to NE30 postcode who bring proof of address; other visitors pay standard admission, with a discount for booking online.
