The Greenhouse at Tynemouth Park
Licensed cafe, bar and events space in the middle of Tynemouth Park, overlooking the Victorian boating lake, serving food by day and opening in the evenings for live music and private hire.
About The Greenhouse at Tynemouth Park
The Greenhouse sits at the heart of Tynemouth Park, the family-run seaside park between Longsands and the coast road, looking out across the Victorian boating lake towards the North Sea. By day it is a licensed cafe and bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside fish and chips and ice cream for visitors working their way round the adventure golf, boating lake and outdoor play attractions. The glasshouse structure and park setting give it a character quite unlike the seafront hotels a few hundred yards away.
In the evenings The Greenhouse becomes an events space, opening for live music nights and for private hire. It can be booked for intimate wedding receptions, birthdays, engagement parties, wakes, corporate functions and Christmas parties, either as room hire alone or with a buffet prepared to suit the occasion, and there is a fully licensed bar. Ticketed gigs are listed through the usual national ticketing sites. The team advise booking well ahead for December dates, which go quickly. Enquiries are handled by the events address rather than the day-to-day cafe.
