About Marden High School

Marden High School is a mixed 11-to-16 secondary school on Hartington Road in Cullercoats, North Shields. A foundation school and a member of The North Tyneside Learning Trust, it teaches students across Years 7 to 11 and has around 1,000 pupils on roll. Under the motto Carpe Diem, the school has built a reputation for strong examination results and a wide-ranging extracurricular programme.

Its ethos centres on developing resilient, resourceful young people through student leadership, creativity and moral development. The school holds Artsmark Gold, runs the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the Skills Builder programme, and places particular emphasis on careers education, information, advice and guidance. Ofsted rated Marden High Good at its most recent graded inspection in November 2022.
