Collingwood Primary School is a community primary school on Oswin Terrace in North Shields, educating children aged 3 to 11 from Nursery through to Year 6. It has around 330 pupils on roll and is named after the Northumberland-born Admiral Lord Collingwood, Nelson's second-in-command at Trafalgar. The school describes itself as a warm, nurturing and inclusive place built on partnership with families.
Its ethos emphasises giving every child a voice, high standards of behaviour and academic work, and a family atmosphere in which pupils develop a love of learning. Ofsted judged the school Good at its most recent graded inspection in May 2023.
