About Tynemouth United FC
Tynemouth United FC is a grassroots junior football club serving Tynemouth and North Shields, giving local children the chance to play organised, coached football close to home. The club runs teams across a spread of youth age groups, from around under-9 up to under-17, and for the 2026-27 season is introducing an under-15 girls' team, widening the pathway for girls who want to play competitively. Home games and training are based at Norham High School on Biddlestone Crescent in North Shields (NE29 7JW), a short drive from Tynemouth village.
Like most grassroots clubs, Tynemouth United relies on volunteers, from coaches and team managers to parents helping on match days, and it welcomes enquiries from new players and helpers alike. For families in Tynemouth looking to get a child into their first proper team, or to move up through the age groups, it is one of the most convenient local options and a friendly introduction to the Saturday and Sunday junior game.
