About Gulshan Indian Kitchen

Gulshan is a contemporary Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant, grill and cocktail bar on Hotspur Street, just off Front Street in Tynemouth village. Established in February 2015 by Mr Rahman and his sons Mamun and Suffian, the family bring more than 45 years of combined experience in the restaurant trade. The venue occupies a renovated space that formerly housed an Italian restaurant, and reviewers highlight its stylish surroundings, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service.

The menu spans contemporary Indian and Bangladeshi dishes alongside grill specialities, complemented by a cocktail bar and both dine-in and online ordering. The kitchen opens in the evenings, and the restaurant hosts live music and Thursday-night specials. The same family runs a long-established sister restaurant, Takdir, in nearby Whitley Bay, reflecting deep roots in the North Tyneside dining scene.
