About Cones Ice Cream Parlour
Cones is an ice cream parlour on Grand Parade in Tynemouth, opposite Longsands Beach, forming part of The Tynemouth Castle Inn from the Inn Collection Group. It opened in late 2023 alongside the fish-and-chip takeaway Oswin's, as part of a substantial renovation of the seafront inn. The parlour is styled to match the venue's art-deco character, giving it a traditional look and feel in a prime beachfront position.
Cones serves more than 20 flavours of gelato made fresh on the premises, with customers able to add unlimited toppings to each serving. The range spans classics and novelty flavours such as raspberry ripple, mint chocolate, espresso martini and Nutella, making it a popular post-beach or post-walk stop on the Grand Parade seafront.
