Part of the North East Combined Authority's rollout of 40 new fast-charging EV spaces across the region. Contactless payment via the Zest app or card. Right on the seafront, within walking distance of Front Street, Long Sands, and the Priory.
Best for:
Beaconsfield is the most useful charger in Tynemouth for visitors -- seafront location, 24-hour access, and rapid DC speeds that can add around 80 miles of range in 30 minutes.
Metro Station Chargers
Wattif network at Tynemouth Metro Station, NE30 4RE -- 3 devices, 3 connectors. Useful for commuters who park at the station and catch the Metro into Newcastle. Charging while you work is a practical way to keep topped up without a dedicated trip.
