Bay Uke brings the North Tyneside Ukulele Festival back to The Exchange in North Shields across Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, with an impressive line-up of acts, group strum-alongs, open mics and workshops. The Saturday programme runs from 5pm to 10pm. Headliners include Ukulele Saz (Ukulele Personality of the Year at the UKIES awards), the comic opera duo Opera-lele, seven-piece Anarchy in the Ukulele, folk trio The Rhubarb Thieves, Scottish folk musician Claire Hastings, Fragile Lucy and multi-instrumentalist Marc Gallagher. A single £50 ticket (plus Eventbrite fees) covers the whole festival including all workshops, and tickets are sold online only. The organisers publish an information pack, programme and songbook on the festival website.
