About This Event
North Tyneside's borough fireworks display takes place on The Links at Whitley Bay, with the seafront as a backdrop. The site opens at 6pm, the display goes up at 7pm and runs for around fifteen minutes, and the evening wraps up by 7.30pm.\n\nIt is completely free and there is no ticketing, which makes it one of the easiest Bonfire Night outings in the North East — you simply turn up. The Metro runs direct to Whitley Bay and the seafront car parks fill early, so the train is usually the better option.\n\nBe wary of listings quoting ticket prices for this display. Some aggregator sites have attached prices from other events to it; the borough display has run free for many years.
