Tynemouth RNLI opens its doors for the annual Lifeboat Day at the Fish Quay in North Shields. This free family event raises vital funds for the volunteer crew who save lives at sea year-round from Tynemouth Lifeboat Station. Expect live lifeboat demonstrations with rescue simulations, a chance to meet the crew and see the lifeboats up close, plus stalls, exhibits, and games for all ages. It's a great opportunity to learn about the RNLI's work while enjoying a morning out on the quayside. The event runs from 11am to 3pm — combine it with a walk along the Fish Quay and lunch at one of the harbourside restaurants.
